any one else find that the engine is louder then most cars ? is it from the mechnical fuel pump / the direct inject injctors or all of the above ? It's louder then my 2001 s10 xtreme 4.3l vortec

are you starting it cold with intake? ROFL... then you have the 4 cylinder vacuum
otherwise... i find it quieter than my old car... it being a 1990 nissan sentra with a slapping timing chain lol.

 

yeah, with a short ram and bunch of other mods, mine sounds like a vacuum cleanser, lol.

 

wait until you cold start with a catless and muffler delete. that's what I have now and it's LOUD in the morning. lol

lol when i first got mine... my dad thought that it was already broken... cause thats how my nissan died... it punched a hole through its own engine block with teh timing chain...

he thought the cobalt was doing the same thing.

Direct injection engines are a lot louder. You will hear the louder tick tick tick.

 

My 2.2 is loud as hell too.
