2 problems/ OverBoosting, and Reverse lights problem

So, I was driving home tonight and I will remind you right now, I have the stock pulley on my car. I was on teh freeway, floored it in 3rd gear, Was going about 80 mph, I looked and I seen 20 psi. It went from about 14psi to 18 and climbed up to 20, but once it was up there around 17-19, My car kind of stuttered/hiccupped. Any ideas on what it could be? I know it is not right!

Reverse lights dont work, bulbs are fine, fuse is good, checked the wiring, i'm getting no power to my back up lights.

Anybody have any of these problems?

happens when you run super rich AFR's leaves excess gas in your exhaust, not good for cat...

fix it with a new cat or you can blow out your cat turbo style like that one guy with the CTS-V if you guys saw that vid...

If you truly have a clogged cat that car should but running hot and leaking exhaust fumes from everywhere.. You should be able to smell it from inside the cabin. It should run alright for just a little bit then start breaking down under a load.

For your reverse lights, it may be the reverse switch attached either to the shifter linkage (or shifter housing) or on the transmission. That what it seems like to me. I am unsure where this switch is located on these cars. Does anyone else know?

There are two things that typically cause this:

1. Clogged Cat - This is pretty typical of the SS/SC

2. Valve not opening - you may have broke a rocker arm

It could be possible that the airflow is being restricted by something else, but unlikely. I would doubt that the gauge is off by that much. I would definately have it looked out especially if you are still under warranty or you can cause engine damage.

well, one time I was at a light and started accelerating, and my car just died, and smelled like sulfur way bad. Only happened once.
