Talking 2005 cobalt ls wont start

I am not going to lie to everyone i am probably the reason my car wont start. I was in the proces of making a jumper wire to connct it too a hot to see if maybe rhe switch was bad, As soon as it tuched it melted. i checked all the fuses and relays to make sure they are goodi got nothing. The car cranks very well but just wont start please help

put your ear to the fuel tank and listen for a buzz sound when someone turns the key to on, if you hesr something then the pump is good. Then check the rest of the fuel/ignition system. If it dont start but cranks its either fuel or spark

I didn't even try anything with the car. I let the dealership worry about it. I have friends on the inside so hopefully i can get it fixed under the factory warranty.

Hopefully you didnt fry a trace in the bcm module.
Melting a wire without blowing a fuse makes me think you connected to one of the larger fused circuts.Could of damaged the pcm or bcm with the high inrush current.ex.melted a trace or a connection.

Maybe a fuseable link is toasted, look for a melted wire.

the past few days at work we have had many cars come in with bad gas. but check ur pump and injectors.
