2008 hhr ss brake?

I just installed pads and rotors on the front and now the brakes are squeaking when i drive it. Any ideas whats wrong?

Its only is the drivers side. So are the pads sticking with no lube?

Yeah your gonna wanna clean and lube those calipers pins and shims properly or your gonna have a bad time

mine actually did the same thing after I changed mine and I lubed everything. figured a rock had gotten in on a wet road so I brake boosted to see if I could heat it up and maybe fix it. worked for a bit, anyway the squeaking went away after a few days.

hey at least you guys don't have a bad e-brake mines not worked in a year and ive had mechanics look at it and they said there was nothing wrong lmfao

check ur calipers, I had my ebrake broken inside the caliper. had to replace it. to do it, just pull the lever the ebrake cable pulls in the caliper and see if the wheel spins.

does it matter what side of the rotor you put the pad with the feeler on it?

Its not a feeler it helps hold the shim in place it does matter but im not currently near my car

A weed grinder you stashed there once while being pulled over got jammed up and you coudln't raise the e-brake handle.

no the right cable detached from the piece that allows the handle to pull both e brake cables, still can't believe no one could figure that out
