I got a twm short shifter a few months ago for my 2.2l & now it's grinding when I shift from 2nd to 3rd only. no other issues but that. Any idea's? I tried adjusting the cables but no luck

 

So now if I shift really fast no grinding. Would the dealer still cover this under warranty with the sts? I'm thinking about getting a new base from a junkyard so they won't see the cut up one if they won't. It's an '08 with 32k, wtf.

 

put the stock one back on and see what happens. i know its a pain in the ass but its better to do that than get ur whole tranny voided over STS

 

Sounds like it could be your Synchronizer. Happened to my 2nd gear Synchro.
