4.45 trans issue?

Hi guys. I just finished up my built ldk/zfr build. While the drivetrain was out, I got my hands on a set of 4.45 gears and had a shop near me install it. The transmissions had zero issues prior to the build, and I’m maintaining the same clutch setup I had previously. Now second gear grinds 75% of the time from 1 to 2, but never in and other scenario. Also 5th is pretty difficult for me to find. I’m not sure if anyone has any idea what it could be, and I’m dreading that maybe a shift rod got bent. Any input would be great, thanks!

5th gear in my 4.45 is a bit to the left of where it used to be. I believe that's normal, I got used to it pretty quickly. Just don't push the stick all the way to the right when shifting 4 to 5.
As for the grinding you mention I'll let others chime in, but mine doesn't grind at all and that doesn't sound good to me.
Did the shop that put yours together have experience with F35 transmissions? I understand they are pretty finicky and require special tools. I brought my car into a local "experienced" specialized transmission shop for a fluid change after the first 1000 miles and they fucked up and put an LSD additive in that was not only unnecessary with a Quaife LSD but would actually have been bad for it. Fortunately I checked with Powell and had them redo the job a week later...

that was my thought as well. I adjusted the right (front to back) cable to every 1/8in of the throw from extreme to to extreme low with no avail. I’m thinking it might be the synchro
