Aftermarket intakes are notorious for improper MAF sensor placement and result in skewed air/fuel ratios and can cause lean conditions.

As far as I know the airbox mod hasn't thrown any codes... did you put the MAF back in the right way?

since i did the airbox mod with an aem dryflow, i keep throwing a p0171 lean code. but, i did put on my exhaust the same weekend. the exhaust and airbox mod have been on for about 2 months now. i put the bottom of the airbox on yesterday to see if that would help and it the code came back last night (same night that i put the bottom back on). any ideas?
