Air Conditioning
Air Conditioning
Hello,
A few weeks ago, I took my car to Dothan's Race Shop to have the Air Conditioning Serviced. The A.C. just didn't feel as cold as I felt it should. So they serviced it up, put some dye in it to check for leaks if I have further problems. Well that worked great! For a few days, maybe a week or so. Then the Air Conditioning started to get warmer. Well now it just doesn't feel like it gets cold enough. But I went to Auto Zone and got one of those vent thermometers.
I checked my service manual. It says to run the AC Fan full blast, with the AC and Recirc on with the car parked in the shade, and driver's window down 6"
Then tempature on the thermometer is 56 degrees under those conditions. Outside air temp is 86F as read on the DIC. Wunderground.com reports that the local humidity is 62%.
According to the AC performance table with the humidity above 50% and a tempature 86F - 95F the discharge tempature should be at most 57F
My AC is warm... but it's not officially broken!
