I only had 1 recall for my car. That was for powersteering. The key and fuel pump weren't recalled but they will replace it for free if it fails.

Can't go wrong with having them check lol. Just make sure they don't try to charge you for spending 15 minutes to look at something. Chevy tried to charge me $95 to drive my car around the building pretty much. I fought that haha and didn't pay anything.

damn this is old news, this recall has been out forever. I ended up replacing mine myself because I don't want a dealer touching my car.

I never got the letter in the mail, I am the original owner. However, so many people on this forum have had the symptoms this recall talks about, smell of fuel, and in my case, the line had a nice hole in it which was dripping and puddling on the ground.

A quick search shows all these threads:

I bought a new complete fuel pump unit from Amazon for around $125 shipped and me and a buddy installed it. I do not trust the stealership even if it was is free.

I'd get mine done but I have no symptoms and to be honest as a shop manager I see what my techs do when modded cars come in I know what the techs will do with mine and f that. Beating on my car while I'm not there is like ******* my wife while I'm at work.

Can you tell if the part needs to be replaced by looking at anything from under the car, or does the fuel tank need to be dropped?

Got the letter today.

I made an appointment for the morning since there is gas leaking from the car onto my driveway. Let's see how they handle it.

I'll update tomorrow with what happens.

Got my car back this morning they went ahead and changed my power steering motor, but did not find anything wrong with the fuel pump. So if you guys do show any signs or may think something is wrong take it in and atleast have them check it out. GL all!

They also said they couldn't see any fuel leaking when they looked at mine. I told them about the smell and they said they couldn't smell anything. Gonna have it replaced anyway just to be safe, they had to order the part.
