Mine wanted $1200 parts and labor. Bought everything for the clutch and getting it put in for $300. I'll come in at around $600 after all is said and done.

Don't go to GM unless it's for warranty.

$1500 tax included for the GM LSJ Upgraded Clutch installed at a dealership here in NY. Includes new flywheel, flywheel bolts, and clutch pipe. Can't wait, the stock clutch sucks on the 1-2 shift and after 7 years I've had enough.

I'd like to do it myself but there's too much that can go wrong with a clutch install on these cars. Factor in 7 years of winter saltwater on every nut and bolt and yeah, it's money well spent.

Best reason to have GM install it is the 12 month unlimited mileage parts & labor warranty. So if the TOB goes bad or they don't install something right and it leaks or goes bad in a month you're covered. That's the main reason I chose the Chevy dealer.

NAPA doesn't carry the upgraded clutch - only a stock replacement one. I think SACHS makes it and it's good as far as a stock clutch goes. You can probably get 100k out of it easily. Comes with an LSJ TOB though, not the LNF one.
