Anyone ever have this problem? AKA Haunted Stereo
Its been happening for over a week now, anytime im listening to the radio/XM my stereo will just freak out and switch to random channels. I really have no idea what could cause this. To prove my point i shot a video. It doesn't start to freak out until about 1:03 minutes into the clip. Any help would be awesome.

See if you can get them to swap your radio out under waranty?
Is this JUST with the XM? Or does it do it on AM, FM radio as well?
its only happened to me under XM, but i haven't tried it under AM/FM yet. Im thinking its either a ghost or the steering wheel selector things. Im not under warranty anymore (44K miles) so im trying to fix this before going to the stealership
It has to be something with the steering wheel buttons. Try disconnecting them maybe and see if it stops? are they hardwired? IDK really know just throwing out ideas. Did you try the old disconnect the battery?
strange, i would get a new radio under warranty if you have it. sometimes my radio doesnt turn on and i have to push the power button at least 10 times to get it to come on, but it is so infrequent.
Ive been thinking,
and I think I know what it *might* be....
There are buttons that control the radio on the steering wheel.
1: Are you pushing them accidently?
2: Its possbile that a loose connection exists on the button, or the wireing to the radio, where
3: Its possible those wires are picking up stray/false sigals somewhere, or shorting to the frame somewhere.

Pop the airbag off of the wheel and disconnect the plug going to the audio controls and tuck it somewhere safe. Drive for a bit and see if it continues. If it stops, then your steering wheel controls are the issue.
Before you start pulling things apart, here is an easy to check longshot - is the tuning knob "in between" detents?
Mine was "in between" once, the station would change randomly up or down. Might not be the case here but an easy one to check.......

My stock radio did that too, I thought it was just broke cuz I bought my car used.
I had the radio replaced from the dealer for the same thing.. Just driving along and wammo new station put back and 15 mins later a it would switch again and it did it on different days multiple times. After new radio never happened again
