I am just about to supercharge my 2.2l and I was cleaning up the lower intake and I noticed some **** shaking around inside of it. And I have absolutely no idea what it could be. If anyone has any advice what I could look for that broke or came apart or anything. Please let me know thank you in advance.
Is that on piece mad out of led? I do not recognize those parts but what do you mean specifically about lower intake? Lower intake manifold? Lower intake tract like the box where it sucks in air?
If this is a blown ringland and it made it all of the way into the intake (manifold?) surely this would be something OP would notice when it happened. I don't know full story on the car though.
They're metal. And it was in my lower intake, Under the SC. Long story short I bought a donor car with a 2.2 that was supercharged with a blown motor. All I knew about it was some paperwork from the dealer pretty much saying there was a misfire in cyl 4 and the car had so much aftermarket parts that the factory diag charts are no help lol.
But that's all I know. I pulled the motor apart Ill post pics in one second they're on my phone
Okay I just have pics of the block
. I don't know if that helps at all but here's all the paperwork I got with the car and that's all the kid new he was an idiot he says it was runnin 12 lbs with a 75shot
those are parts of the ringland. From cylinders 1 and 4, def need new pistons, and would suggest rods. The head might have damage after seeing the marks in the pistons 1 and 4. Cylinder walls could be scored also due to the ringland parts bouncing around in there

I would think the head would definitely have damage if the parts of the pistons made it back through the intake valves.
Mystery solved. It was definitely chunks of piston. Pulled entire motor apart and more chunks came out when I pulled the pistons lol.
Thank you to everyone who gave their input!
