TC and ABS Lights on UPDATED

So my abs and traction control lights are on (I know that when one comes on so does the other), my brakes are bad and need replacing.. is it possible for bad brakes to cause the lights to come on? they most often come on after stopping or while stopped, and will sometimes be on sometimes be off when starting the car. I will get it looked at but I am jsut curious if this is possible

no, its more likely you have a bad wheel speed sensor if its occuring during those conditions.

Not completely sure how this site works, just joined. But if it came on and off, and has been off for three weeks could have very well been a wiring issue. Or some dirt/grime in your abs sen. Just a possibility.

My abs light was one and I replaced the sensor in my car and then I see a wire cut it was the wire harness for the abs sensor. Check your wires then replace sensor.
