Battery Cables

Alright, I pulled my battery out today, for a reason that really shouldnt matter, put it back in, had juice, as far as i could tell, clock worked, lights worked and what not, went to turn the key and clunk, everything went dead.
I said ok, had this problem before, just a bad connection to the battery, i took the cables off, cleaned them and the battery contacts. Hooked everything up, still nothing.
Battery Juice is at 12.5 on the meter, i have power to the cables hooked up to the battery all the way up to the back seat of the car, then i loose the power wire and dont know where to find it.
O yah, also no jusice where the battery cable plugs into the fuse box in the engine. So i've got to be loosing it somewhere between the backseat and the engine box, but im not sure where, if its possibly grounding itself out somewhere, but then the battery should be getting hot i believe, and its not. any help would be great.

Check the main fuse on the BCM.
Also the 50 amp fuse near the battery.

how old is the battery? it could just not be able to hold a load. sometimes you will run into a battery that has good voltage but is shorted out inside
