BCM wiring

Does anyone know where I can hack into the stock wiring and bypass the trunk circuit to make the car think the trunk is closed 24/7?

My trunk sensor has been messed up for over a year now and the car randomly thinks it's open/closed.

While driving, the binging doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is everytime I lock my doors, the alarm is going off every 5 minutes because the car thinks someone is opening the trunk.

So I usually have to leave my doors unlocked to keep the alarm from going off, but then my stuff is asking to be stolen out in the parking lot.

I really need this **** fixed now

Try unhooking the truck wire completly? I dunno if that'd do anything...just a noob suggestion.

Well back when I was under warranty I brought it in and the dealer told me they wouldnt fix it because something I did caused it.

I asked them if they tested the trunk sensor and they said yes, it worked correctly and that my problem is in the wiring somewhere.

I find it hard to trust dealers after how many times they've screwed me though.

Connector 1 of the BCM (which is a gray 72 pin) it's the orange/black wire in pin number 55.

image below if the schematics. sorry for the cropping.

Awesome, thanks!

One more question, if I sever the connection, will the BCM read it as opened or closed?

I'd prefer it if the car thought the trunk was always closed.

hmm. not sure on that one. SI shows the switch as closing a ground connection to turn on the light but not much on the sensing for the BCM

Gahh, my alarm has gone off TWICE in the last five minutes

Everytime it goes off i have to sprint to my window with my key fob and start hitting buttons to turn it off

Who wire up the alarm.
The trunk stuff is basic but if you buggered the wiring some where enroute to the bcm God help you find it.
The print looks like you need to break the circut. on pin 2 ,try taking the connector off but lay down the back seat so you can get in there to reconnect it if you have to.

It's the stock alarm.

I have never messed with any of that wiring, nor do i even know where it is.

Alright so i made some discoveries.

I cut the wire and the car still thought the trunk was open.

So I grounded the wire, and still, trunk open.

So then I connected the wire to a 12v source and viola trunk closed.

Grounded it again, trunk open.

So apparently Orange/Black wire grounded = trunk open, Orange/Black wire +12v = trunk closed.

I wired the orange and black wire to the postive terminal on the battery for now and we'll see if it solves my problems
