Body Control Module

I'm trying to get a new BCM because my A/C doesnt work and i think it needs a new one. My BCM part number is 15780945 and the only ones closest I can find is 15780944. What should or can I do?

its electrical and i have extensively tested fuses and wires plus we also had a GM tech 2 in the car and when it tried to pull up the BCM information and kept shutting us out.

That number is very old. We need to start out with a year first.

Did you have a Candi module hooked up when attempting to communicate with the BCM?

Yes, he is correct. You need the Candi module. I don't know what else to say about it other than it is the Candi module. He could probably provide more info.

I know that is the correct part number because I run my own GM Parts Business and logged in and looked it up in the catalog.

The candi module is a 6"x4"x1" box that must be attached to the Tech2 anytime you are trying to access a module on the GMLAN network in 2004 and newer vehicles. Its same color as Tech2, would appear to be part of the cable, has a blue label that says " General Motors CANdi Controller Area Network diagnostic interface" it also has a green LED that blinks once a second when its hooked up properly. You will never access a GMLAN module with a Tech2 without the CANdi

On an LSJ you can access the PCM without a CANdi.

Yup, only the LSJ cars, because their PCM isnt GMLAN. Thats why they use a different Interceptor.

i dont remember if the powertrain was accessible or not. i dont think we tried. this is what happened. we SOMEHOW managed to make my AC compressor turn on and it ran for about 3-4 ignition cycles or car starts over a 20 hour period. like 4PM the first day and then it stopped at about 12PM the next day. somehow the guy did something and it ran for that long, he did this with the Tech 2.
