Boost Problem Read!

Hey guys i have the rev it up stage one installed w/ the 2.85 pulley and i was wondering why my boost guage only reads 11 or 12 while there are videos on this site with another cobalt w/ stock guage reading 16 to 18 with the intense kit. Please offer your suggestions and yes i capped the vaccum line "boost bypass mod". Also the kit i have is running really lean to where knock is experienced, and they are sending a program to upload to it to try and fix it is this useless b/c i am maxing out my injectors or what let me know!
Thanks Guys

Its Sunday afternoon dude, people are not sitting inside by their computers. Wait until Monday afternoon when they all get back to work and want to waste some time in front of their computers.

Until then, undo your boost bypass. That should help with the knock.

Oh you have a rev it up kit?

That kit mods the MAP signal so you will never get the true reading. You will get the piggy back massaged version of the signal displayed on your boost gauge. The intense kit modifys the MAF signal so you get the true map signal displayed on your boost gauge.

Sorry you will need a mechanical gauge if you want to see true PSI values.

Do you have a 2006?

Psi Fit/ Revitup Stg 1 kits modify the MAP signal going to the PCM.
So you are actually running 15-17psi (depending on conditions) but your PCM thinks you are running 12psi max... Thus that is the signal it sends to the stock boost gauge.

If you want to see the actual boost youll need a mechanical gauge.
I have an Autometer gauge... fits in the a-pillar perfectly with a little modification.

*EDIT* BTW I got my gauge from Ray at a totally decent price !

I am about to make a thread about a problem i had today. I have the intense stage 3 and I am only boosting 15. Today i went up parley canyon that gets to about 6000 feet above sea level i think.. The car ran funny and would only boost 12 so I think elevation and boost are directly related....

elevation and boost are directly related, the higher you go, the less density the air in the atmosphere has, thus resulting in less boost
