Exclamation boosting problem

Hey guys

Well it all started Monday night, i was doing some friendly runs between me and the guys, and i noticed that my car wasn't pulling near as hard as it should be. i checked my boost gauge during one of the pulls and it never read over 10psi (normal is around 16-18) and my supercharger wasn't making a normal whine. It kinda sounded as if a kid was yelling through a giant fan.. you know what a mean? lol. So i pulled ever immediately and my first thought was to check the bbv.. but i couldn't see any signs of being abnormal..

So after that i go straight home to see if I can see what's going on. On the way I do a quick pull.. and it pulls hard, like normal. So at this point i was like wtf. I oiled my bbv, thinking that was the problem and went to sleep.

Car seems fine Tuesday although i didn't drive it much. Then tonight i decide to test it again. I did a 2nd gear pull at 40 and it boosted straight to 15psi and crawls up. I shift to 3rd and boost falls to 12psi and fluctuates from there, and even falling down to 10psi (under WOT) never really getting back to 15psi.. It was also making that weird, non-normal whine.

I'm pretty stumped lol.. i've checked all my vacume lines and lubed my bbv. I was also wondering if it was a slipping belt.

I have a 60's and 2.75 setup with damn-near full bolt ons. i've had this setup for a month now and this is my first problem..

So please CSS.Net!! help me out lol

Could be the belt slipping, could be the boost bypass as well.

Have you checked to make sure you aren't getting knock and checked to see what your IAT2 is at?

The belt slip and knock are good places to look too.

The bbv has a hose the runs to the bbv solinoid....unhook this line and plug it with a golf tee or the like.
See how it acts. Don't leave it like that for ong because the car bleeds boost for safety reasons.

Its pulling timing up top.
typical if it in boost with lower octane fuel or iat2 are above 140*
I hope an expert will chime in,lol.

Almost 6 deg of knock retard is not good... you need a retune...

Are you hearing any other sounds? Belt slip has a loud screech associated with it...

What type of exhaust? cat or no cat?

Thats a lot of knock retard. Check your plugs for signs of detnation. Sounds like something is wrong with the tune in the top end.

That is alot of knock. I would definately start by looking at the tune and getting rid of the knock first. IAT2 at 120* is good, so you may need to add more fuel or drop the timing a bit.
