Brake Problem, Help

So, for the past couple weeks my car has begun to have problems braking under any sort of significant speed. I would probably say that over about 40 I really have to ease onto the brakes to slow down, otherwise they feel like they start grinding and pulsating like the abs kicks in. Unfortunately, the light doesn't come on so, unless it's a faulty sensor then I have no idea what is causing it. I checked the rotors and all are nice and smooth and the pads are just under a year old and dont even appear to have wear. So, what's going on?

If you didn't take the wheels off ,you really can't see the inside pads.
I've seen the pads break off before and if your caliper pins are seized the pads will wear on one side only.

Take the car for a drive and use the e brake to see where the problem is front or back.
Then inspect the brakes properly by removing the wheel and taking a good look at the inside of the rotor and pad.

Front rotors are probably warped,it only take one hard panic brake to warp them.

I took off the wheels when I inspected them but I will have to try the e brake idea. How do I check for a warped rotor?
