ok heres a question. whats that clicking noise that happens 3 times when i turn my car off? it sounds like its coming from the back? also how fucked are my brakes if when i pull the handbrake it coasts down a hill sounding like a high squeeking noise?

 

i have that clicking noise too, it doesnt happen all the time but sometimes it happens after i get out and lock it.

 

i've got a 2.4 and i also have the clicking...annoying, especially since i'm not sure what it is.

 

I too have the clicking and it sound like someone is knocking on my trunk freaks me out.

 

It happens to me all the time...

I don't know about the clicking. The brake is what I would be more concerned about. With the parking / emergency brake set and the car off or in neutral, it should not move at all. If it does, get it serviced. It's a simple adjustment.

That clicking noise scared the hell out of me the first time I heard it. I was still in the car- in the garage- and thought someone had walked in behind me and was knocking on my trunk!!

I'm not as worried about it now that I've seen it's fairly common, but I'd still like to know what it is...

 

the clicking noise is from the exhaust, it's nothing to worry about
