Brakes squealing

Hey folks,

Been trying to figure this out for a couple nights now, it's finally got to me enough to put the car on jack stands. My passenger front brakes are squealing once they get hot. So hot that the steel rims are almost too hot to touch after five or six times braking from 80 km/hr. I've taken the pads off, sanded them down a little to maybe remove some of the shine (glaze?), and rubbed some sandpaper on the rotors in a circular pattern to see if that helps any. But it hasn't. The rotors are very smooth, no ridges or dips to be felt with a fingernail ran across or visually. The pads have maybe 10% wear on them, but they are about as shiny as the rotors. I took some crappy cell phone pictures, but they don't help worth squat. I'm planning on taking the car to the local Fountain Tire tomorrow to see if they can give me any advice, but in the mean time, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Probably glazed up that bad and they will want to turn the rotors.
For the price of the new rotors I found wasnt worth it (here its like $20 per rotor and the new one for the sedan cant be that much more)

Well, doing some looking around, new rotors could end up being $200... Don't really have that right now. If they can turn them for $20 each, that's negotiable. They are pretty shined up, I guess too shiny!

sounds like maybe your caliper is malfunctioning, not letting the pressure off when brake is released holding the pad against the rotor. could be wrong, but its just another thing to check. or it could just be your pads are at the point where the metal thing is hitting the rotor telling you they need to be changed. if your rotors are fine just replace the pads

The pads are fine, I have another set of pads and held up to each other, the thickness shows they're barely worn, maybe 10% wear. No where near the clip. I did check the caliper, and after applying the brake, letting it off, the hub was easy to turn by hand (in neutral). So it's okay.

if everything checks out just put anti break squal stuff on the back of the pads, put back together then see if that helps. if not idk whats up with it
