Braking noises

I have 2007 cobalt ls with 45,000 miles on it. a couple of weeks ago I started hearing sound near brakes. over the past weeks its been getting worst and its definitely the brake because when it slows down I hear it(25 mph to 30 mph). I had it checked out by a dealer andthey said it was the header leaking. I took that to get inspected and they said it was the brakes. I think its the brakes because the sound is in sync withe rotors that I have since they are drilled and slotted.

Is this the correct assumption

Is it like the wear indicator sound? Do you need pads? Could you be any more vague?

The clicking is the pads moving and hitting in the seat they sit in in the caliper because there is always a slight drag and some play .
I wouldnt worry about it ,my stock pads have always done it.
