Broken Exhaust Pipe(?)
Saturday night, i was pulling into work to pick up my girlfriend (we're on opposite crews) when I noticed that the exhaust on my Cobalt SS sounded like a wet, pruney fart. I crawled under it yesterday before the monsoon hit and the pipe is cracked/broken around the catalytic converter. How in the hell does this happen? This car isn't even driven all that much now that winter has arrived here!
Now i've got to go deal with a dealer who will probably tell me it was because I was racing it or some ****... Never mind that this car hasn't seen a dragstrip since late May.
So, anyone have this happen or am I extraordinarily lucky?
Scott

bone stock... even got the normal air filter in it!
They dealer had it up on the lift today and it's not a crack at all... from what they could find, where the pipe meets the header, there is this springy thing that is loose/cracked. Unfortunately, it's part of the catalytic converter so the whole thing has to be replaced... $450. At least it's under warranty... But damn, what the hell caused it?
