Bumping noise when turning

I'm sure this has been discussed before but i have had my car in like 5 tor 6 times for a bumping noise in my front end i can feel it in the floor board. its real bad when it cold outside. next week I'm going to take it back in for the same problem, so far they replaced a strut and the steering column, and to no avail it didn't fix it. so my first question is, Is the intermediate shaft part of the steering column? is it replaced when the steering column is replaced? second question. since i have had it in for that problem i have put Eibach pro kit lowering springs on and EBC brake rotors and pads on my car. will they refuse to fix this under warranty even though i had it in 6 times before i did the mods? Any help is much appreciated. thanks!

It would be the intermediate shaft then my buddie had a on going problem with it on his 2002 impala.
They would grease it and give the car back and the noise would start again a month later.

My car does this and the dealer told me it is a safety feature for the steering system to prevent itself.

well dealer is going to check the problem for me. they said the lowering springs were no problem. but i did have one question could the thumping noise when turning (at like 45 mph) come from the rotors i just put EBC rotors and red stuff pads on. they don't shake or anything when driving strait or turning i just here that stupid thump thump noise. i just want to be sure its not the rotors .dealer said it def sounds like the intermediate shaft. How does the intermediate shaft work does it rotate with the speed of the wheels? or does it move only when turned?

If it made the thumping noise since you bought the car and you just put the new rotors on then it couldn't be the rotors. Maybe you are talking about a different noise, or you just put new pads on the old rotors? I don't think its the rotors in any case, Im sure the dealer will get it straightened out.

Well i hope they do! i don't think its the rotors either considering i have no other problems like pulsating brakes or anything.
