Thumbs down car is down again!!!!!!

well i just got done installing a new motor and trans, after the last motor blew. so i was on the way home from work the other night and all of the sudden i lose boost alltogether, and the car feels very sluggish. a few seconds later the low oil pressure light and the low voltage light come on. so i pull over and pop the hood. the serpentine belt was not moving at all. so i jack the car up and low and behold the crank pulley is spinning freely. i torque it down and drive home. by the time i get there. same problem occurs again. so i'm like wtf..... well a little while ago i went out to work on the car and see if i could fix the problem. as soon as i pulled the crank pully off, i realized it was going to be a very bad day. the damn shim for the crank pulley snapped. i know why too, the ******** mechanic that installed my motor and tranny failed to torque down the crank pulley. so now i have to pull the motor to get the cover off to replace the damn shim. you can't ******* trust mechanics to do such simple ****!!!!!!!! wtf over.
/end rant

did you have a new (as in new crate engine from gm) engine put in, or a used one from the junkyard??? did your mechanic actualy touch this part??? if it was a used motor, id venture to guess no. even if it was a new motor, wouldnt it come with the crank pulley. regardless, you likley have a warrenty and if it is in fact the mechanic that messed this up, im sure he will cover it. if it was a used motor, usually the place the motor came from will warrenty it, but not the labour to re/re the engine.

talk to your mechanic, CALMLY. yelling and screaming at him will get you no were, and its disrespectful, especially if the problem isnt their fault.

no the motor was bought used from a guy on this sight. and i know the mechanic touched it because i had him swap all the accesories from the old motor to the new one which had no accesories on it.

woulodnt really count the crank pulley as an accessory. id almost bet that if it had a crank pulley on it he wouldnt have changed it. however, if he did, its his fault and he should be fixing it for you free of charge.

his fault or not, i'll never let that guy touch my car again, there was so many things i had to go back and fix when i got the car back from him last month. it was terrible, he had the baro sensor cable hooked up to the scip sensor, misaligned my exhasut, and a bunch if other problems. on top of the fact he charged me double the cost he quoted me just because the car has and sc on it(like that really makes the car hard to work on.)anyhow i've got a decent guy in mind to fix it for me. this is why i hate living in an apartment. if i had a garage i could have done all the work myself, and made sure it was done right.

sorry for the rant guys, i'm just tired of the constant problems i've been having.
