one of my buddies has a 2.2 stock auto cobalt. he says that everytime he puts gass in his car it has trouble starting. he says he has to quickly start it and before it dies out he has to put his foot the on brake and the gas at the same time then shift to drive to get it to go. but its only when he puts gas in his car. no other time does this happen.

anyone else have this problem?? thoughts, ideas?

 

That is the Evap purge solenoid that causes that problem.
Its located on the right side of the engine by the valve cover.
I think somebody said they are aroung $35.00 and can easily be replaced.
