Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Exclamation car help

05 cobalt ls, 89,000. my car turns over but it doesnt sound like it wants to fire, all you hear is the starter turning and a lil putter sound form the exhaust. All fuses look good and i also swapped the relays too. Anybod have any ideas? i need my car and already missed a day of work.

check fuel, on the rail there is a service port, turn the key to run and off a few times, then take off the cap and push on the shrader valve inside, if fuel comes out in a jet, you have fuel, if it trickels out, or air comes out, its a pump issue.

When you put the key in the run position you should here the fuel pump turn on as well.

It really sounds like a fuel spark issue.

thats what im thinking, but the fuel part is the easiest thing to check, requires no special tools.

its getting fuel, plugs smell of gas as well

the pack, i have a spare somewhere around here lol
any chance the piggy back is F-in with it? Or i somehow broke all my rods by startin the car lol

i doubt its an internal problem, you would hear some god awful noises if so. swap the pack and see what happens.

swapped pack and got nottin, going to buy plugs now "crosses fingers"

is there a check engine light??? Also get a gas sample, if possible, put it in glass jar/ snapple bottle, see if it has water in it, it will seperate.

im out of ideas guys, it seems like im not getting any spark with either of my coil packs. anyone have an idea for me? fuses all good, new relays, new plugs, starter works fine, i hear a pitter patter out of the exhaust as well.

could be PCM, unless there is a seperate ignition control module.

he said it was turbo'd. yeah, should have told you to isolate aftermarket stuff first, glad you got it taken car of.
