Car jerks when driving slowly

Hey whats up guys,
Im pretty sure all our cars do this, but i figure i would ask. When im driving slow, either in a parking lot or in traffic, the car jerks violently untill you reach like 10 mph or so.If you were looking at my car when its happening, you would think i didnt know how to drive stick, lol.Who else has this problem? Its very annoying. It feels like the engine is shaking. Its been doing this since i got the car so i ruled out bad motor/trans mounts. For those of you with aftermarket mounts, did it get rid of this problem?I wanna get better mounts, but i dont wanna deal with the vibrations that comes with them.

are you talking about in first? if you're in first going that "fast" and let off the gas a little bit it will be jerky, then you press the gas again it will be jerky.

if you're in 2nd going that slow, it's because the enging is out of it's efficiency range

Your not the only one with this issue,

I think its just the car, before everyone rules out driver error, no other cars jerk like this in 1st, I wonder if mounts would help this?

they don't. i just got used to being VERY steady with the foot at slow speeds. and if i'm going that slow, the only way i can keep it smooth in very slow stop and go is using lots of clutch.

yes its mostly from the mounts. i swapped to the ttr inserts and that problem has pretty much gone away. only down fall is the vibrations cause the car to sound like it has an exhaust when crusing now.
didn't expect it to get that loud, oh well i deal with it cause i ruined one of the bushings when i pressed them out.

Yea, This is the only manual I have ever had that problem with....
I blame the clutch, just cause I hate the clutch... No other reason...

I have the same problem. I'm going to get retuned soon and was talking to him about fixing it. I still hope he can somehow. The car works great if you drive it agressively, but does that stuff under normal conditions. Like I start out in first and give it some quick gas it looks like I'm driving like an idiot kid, but it goes smooth. I give it just a little bit and suddenly I'm jerking because it isn't happy with too little gas, yet in traffic you can't shift to second because cars are in front of you stopping and letting off is too slow for traffic.

I have found too that the car won't coast. you should be able to have no gas and the clutch out on even ground or a downslope. Sometimes it coasts fine. Other times it feels like I'm riding a bull.

Well in my case its so bad 1st gear is almost not useable and its dose it when I let off the pedal, but I think a sensor somewhere is sending a bad signal because if I force the car into OPEN LOOP by unplugging the coolant temp sensor its completely fixed.

what he said.

haha... you are all talking about getting it fixed like it's a malfunction. the only mod that is going to fix this is the driver mod. ease out on that clutch and control yourself in that annoying ass stop and go traffic. i've had it from time to time, but i realize it's my own dumb fault and not the cars.... push the clutch back in when it starts to do it and try again.... this time with more finesse.
