Car just broke down on me..need help!!
Well it's been fine all day, was leavin mcdonalds and went to start it and all the electronics just cut out all of a sudden, car won't start, the lights radio and everything just quit working. It won't let me pull my key out of the ignition and it won't let me move it into neutral or anything even with the key on...any ideas?

similar thing happened to my old car there is a rubber thing under the steering wheel collumb pull that off and feel in there if you can see in there there is this little white plastic thing that gets jammed pull it towards you i think it is and the key should turn. what probably happened was when you pulled your key out you pulled it out in the on position so it drained your battery as you where sitting in mcdonalds

Nope that was about 15k miles ago It did this when i first bought the car, except the security light was on, but it would never let me start it..i had to have it towed about 6 times in the first couple weeks...ended up bein that the whole fuse panel was fried for whatever reason...the security light isn't on this time but i think it may be related...so my car's fucked up for the night and my phone froze up on me this morning and sprint can't figure that one out either so they ordered a new one...im phoneless until tuesday afternoon...shitty day

could be a connection with the alternator, I had a similar problem when I had my chevy truck, one night i was driving it and then all the electric components were going out and then the truck just died in the middle of the road. I went into a wal-mart parking lot and it took me 2 hours to see that the cable that runs from the alternator was disconnected and i played around with the wires and bingo got it working
