i changed the fuel fillter now car wont start.
car is a chevy cobalt 2006 ss supercharged.

i pulled the fuel relay, started car, let it chug out, pull keys out, put relay back in, proceeded to change fuel filter, got filter in, put keys in, turned to on position to let pump circulate fuel then attemped to turn car over, it would not fire.

what now?

is there something i missed, iv been trying to start this sucker for about the last 12 hours.

oh yeah if i spray fuel into the intake for the charger and turn car over it fires right up, then of course dies.

what am i missing?

Are you sure the fuel pump is running?
If you dont hear it when you first turn the key your fuel pump relay isnt in the right place.
This scenario has happened to alot of guys doing the same thing as you.

 

Gotta put the key in the ignition, Then turn!
