Catalytic Converter AT vs MT

Sorry if this is a repost. I did a search for catalytic converter and looked through all 8 pages of results but didn't see anything that answered my question (although it's possible I overlooked something).

I need to replace my cat and it seems like every direct-fit replacement I find is listed as being for an automatic. Does anyone know if the automatics will fit on a manual? Going by the pictures, they appear to be very similar.

the cat's are part of the downpipe assembly, so if you are replacing the downpipe assembly you need to choose the manual transmission downpipe because the automatic's are tilted back slightly which shortens the length of the downpipe
