Hello all, first post...short story today I got a Check engine light and the car only has 1800 miles...got the code checked and it was somthing about "running lean-bank 1" Any ideas what this may be? Thanks...and this is on a 06 SS/SC

 

Obviously its lean on fuel we know that much now. But 2 banks on a 4 cylinder??? Hmm, i'm used to always owning a V block instead of an inline!

What exactly is the code? I can go to work tomorrow and get you all the info you really need.

Does the engine run fine? or does it hesitate?

 

Seemed to run fine, the guy didnt get me the code, just the explanation. No hesitation....he deleted the cel and it hasnt came back since earlier.

 

it hasn't come back? Keep driving, dont worry. If it comes back and its the same code, there is possibly a fuel delivery issue. These intermittent problems are a bitch to figure out. And if it DOESN'T come back, problem solved by not doing a thing

 

thats funny..mine has done the same thing..mine started at about 9000 miles tho..im at 12000 now..but since then it has went off twice..then like a week ago it just keep going off..i think i counted 5 times..well finally they called GM and asked wat to do.GM said just flush the fluids and some other stuff..they werent sure was the problem could be..since then it has not came back on..but its only been a week now..
