CEL after removing SC

I got bored today and pulled the blower off my car to plug the silencer holes. I ended up removing the blades from the housing and sanding down the inside to make sure it was perfectly flush and smooth with the sc housing. I refilled it with GM SC oil (almost 2 bottles worth) and installed everything back on the car. Now the CEL is on. Just wondering if anyone might know what caused it, or if unplugging the battery will reset it. Thanks.

Did you reconnect all the vacuum lines and the sensor on top of the blower?

try the batt method of resetting it, or drive to autozone or someplace and find out what code it is.

Yeh, I am going to unplug the battery tonight and see if it does anything. I'd just leave it but my inspection is due at the end of June and I can't pass with the stupid ass retard light on.

It would be easier if we knew what code you are throwing.

No, replacing the gasket is not necessary unless it is damaged.

The CEL went away. I drove it to work, let it sit for about 4 hours, then when I started it up the CEL was gone.

Weird.

Did you turn the key on at all when you had something unplugged? That could set a temp code, that would clear after a few cycles.
