Any ideas what could've caused this while the car was sitting overnight doing absolutely nothing? "Engine pwr reduced" came on on the dash display and they car would barely move. After work, I took it to my dealer, backfiring, sputtering, running at high idle, and generally not running worth a **** at all, they hooked it up to their scanner and it threw 8 codes. They managed to clear 3 of them, but were left with 5. The mechanic thinks it's the ECM or Pcm, whatever it's called. I talked to the parts department and they told me they'd have to get one from the states(I live in Canada), so it'd take between 5-10 days. Talked to my rep, and he said the last time he had to get parts from the states, it took 3 weeks. The performance display was showing "---" for a fuel pressure reading, and the boost gauge, I noticed on the way to the dealer, was stuck at 5 lbs of boost. Is the computer really fried or what's going on here? It's totally stock, nothing has been touched. Shut the car off after work yesterday, went out to go to work in the morning, and the problems began. Lightning strike my ****** car last night or wtf?
To make things worse, my vacation begins on June 28th, and I've already pre-booked my hotel and paid for it in advance. In 5 days time from now, I lose my money because that's the deadline to cancel, or re-book my stay. Being that it's the weekend, that leaves the Gm dealer basically 2 days to fix this thing. Am I screwed, or should I make them swap my car for a new one from another dealer? If I do cancel my vacation, I won't be able to go again until at least September, and by then it'll most likely be snowing up here since this past winter lasted damn near 9 months this year, and I won't be able to go anywhere anyways. It snowed the last week of May here.. talk about gayness. The timing couldn't be much worse, although I suppose had it happened 2000 miles from home while driving the car, I'd be in alot more trouble
Btw, the car only has 1341 miles on it as of when I arrived at the dealership.

Just an update..it's been 1 week almost already. Dealership determined the problem was the ECM on Monday, but they need a GM engineer, somewhere in the world, I dunno where, to release the damn part. Anybody else ever had such an issue and if so, how long did it take to get the bloody part? I'm at the point of going to the dealer and demanding a new car since Gm is screwing around too much. If I wasn't going anywhere, it wouldn't be a huge deal like it is now, and as such, I'm starting to get pissy.
