While on my way to a super bowl party i was on the highway doing like 65 whne my check engine light came on. I was doing nothing out of the ordinary and the car seemed to run and sound fine. When leaving the party, i started my car and like 5 seconds after i turned it on the tach started to bounce up and down by a few hundreds for a coule seconds and then my engine sputtered like it was about to stall. Suddenly the car went back to normal, and runs and sounds fine. HOwever my economy wehn form like 29.6 to 22.9. Any ideas anyone?

 

mines sputters too and sounds like its gunna turn off, my car feels like its cammed but it isnt and feels really weird somtimes, but i dont get a cel, so im kinda in the same area

 

weird? did you reset your mpg before and then once again after?

 

You should get the code pulled and find out what it was for and maybe that will lead you in the right direction.

 

im setting up an appointment today after school. IDK whats going on, when i got into the car today it started up fine. I dont get a cel, just the yellow check engine light.

 

if it is solid then its an emissions CEL if its blinking Get to a Dealer!!
