check engine light

on my balt ss/sc i have had my check engine light come on several times i have taken it to the dealer and they reset the code. they tell me that it is from my aftermarket exhaust . i dont know what exhaust it is because i have not done any thing to it since i bought it used. i was just wondering if there is any way to get it from setting my engine light off all the time. They told me that the code said it was running lean.

The aftermarket exhaust is not making you throw a lean code. Do you have an aftermarket intake? it would be the most likely source of a lean code........

Need to find out what code it is so we can try and give you some ideas. If it has a highflow cat you can o2 sensor space at an autoparts. This stopped my p0420 codes.

It has a stock intake , but the dealer screwed up on the order. They fixed the engine light, but didn't type it up on the order. So they couldn't tell me what the code was.

An exhaust wouldn't make you lean. They probably just forgot the code and just said "lean".

Does your car have an aftermarket header/dp?

No I dont have any kind of alarm system and as far as the intake and exhaust i checked them out tonight the intake is stock for sure. The header and exhaust also looked to be stock, but I am not complety sure since i dont know what a stock one looks like. However with the engine light currently off i cant tell you what the code is.
