so my check engine comes on randomly and i had a chance to go to auto zone and have it read, it came up as p1174, "manufacturer controlled air/fuel mixture" i beleive thats how the scanner said it. could it be my injen intake? i have almost 20000miles on my 06 ss2.4 it happend when i was about half throttle in 3rd and the munch it to just before redline...i get the check engine light about once a month, i think my car is having its "period" this month

 

I'm not sure of the specifacations of the a/f specifacations. If they're really tight then it could possibly be your intake. But I'm not too sure if it's a real common problem. If not then you should probably have your O2 sensor replaced.

 

Yes it is your Injen Intake. Anyone with an aftermarket intake gets the CEL!
If you go to the dealership and have them reflash the computer it will fix it.

yea the light went off again, so im not too worried about it

 

Usually the CEL is P0171 with an intake. I would probably get that looked into if I was you.

 

About 1 month after installing a cat-back system on my '06 SS Supercharged, the CEL came on while cruising down the highway. By the time I got around to AutoZone, it was off and no codes..WTF???

 

mine did it too i have Injen CAI, it randomly shows up and goes away, car doesnt run any different
