The silver trim on the door trim for the windows/locks is chipping away so dam cheap, it wasnt coated good enough from the factory

can someone get me a part # so i can order new ones.

curious...is there black ones (maybe that the 2.2/2.4's use) i would rather have the darker colors than the silver trim.

 

I am having the same problem and was wondering if these parts are warrantied from this kind of wear. And also the Fabric on the arm rest is also wearing from where i rest my arm. Are the SS/SC with the color matched interior made of the same fabric just a different color or is it something different? And if it is covered under warranty do you think GM could replace it with the color matched material instead.

 

my friend, 05orangess took his back to the dealer and they replaced. ne nitpicking just take it bak to the dealer thats wat he does.

 

The trim pieces on the door handles are covered under warranty, atleast mine were. I also had paint chipping of the #1 button of my radio and my dealership replaced the entire radio under warranty.

 

can someone give me the part #'s do the darker colored ones(black) instead of the SS ones.(silver)

 

No they wont change colors of fabrics, but yes they will replace all of that under warranty

 

Everyone has problems with the paint chipping on the door trim pieces...if you would do a search, you would find that out...I've had mine replaced under factory, but it will just happen again...most people just end up painting them to match the car'c color.

dont the non SS's have black trim pieces whereas the SS's have silver, or are the regular cobalts like tan?

Hack, what color were your stock? what are the base's color stock?

 

I have a 05 LS Sport, which is the equivalent of an 06 LTZ, it came with the same silver trim

 

the door things only come in silver buyt you could paint them like Hack... I did mine in black

 

 

A little warning.. pop the buttons out.. dont tape over then.. i did and it ended up pealin them a little.. not real notice able unless its dark in thec ar i put my hand over them..
