Clicking noise im probably just paranoid

Whenever i let the clutch out to start I hear a clicking noise. And today it did two clicks in a row. Im not sure if this is a problem or not. The clutch feels fine im just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this issue.

Someone correct me if im wrong but i belive its the LSD. My firend had a 6 speed 350z and it made the SAME noise except it came from the rear on the 350z on on ours it comes from the front. So it makes me belive its the LSD unit.

Do you have the g85?
If not then Im wrong but I get that noise also on mine and yes i have the G85

You sure it's not that little plastic switch down there? Peek under your steering wheel and check it out. Mine clicks if I push the clutch in all the way. If it ain't that switch, yell at the dealership.

Same problem here..I have a 06 ss/sc G85 and whenever I blip the throttle and let out anything but SUPER easy I get that click too. It's really noticable when parking and moving out in reverse, but I can actually slightly hear it when driving if I feather a shift from like 4-5.5K. It's at the dealership as we speak. I'll let you know what i find out.

In the last couple weeks I have also been hearing this click noise as I shift. I have an '06 SS/SC w/g85. Car seems to be running perfectly fine though, but curious to see if anyone figures this out.

Just so you know, you didn't learn on a 1970 Silverado.

Just got the car back...They said it was the axle nuts. They re-torqued them and no more annoying "click"!

Thanks Above6k. I am getting the same clicking noise. Now I know what to tell the dealer. Maybe this time they will listen to a woman.

I own a 2005 Redline and I have the same problems. I only notice the problems when I am starting in first gear, and second gear, or downshifting. I am going in for service on Tuesday to see what te problem may be. I also notice after a while that the trans. will make a , singular, LOUD pop when the car starts to get hot.

just following up:
Got the verdict back from the dealer. Broken axle due to loose intermediate bearing.
