Clunking?

I got 20 thousand miles on my car and im hearing a clunking noise coming from the right front side of my car somewhere by the rim anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

When do you hear the clunk ?
Little more info will make the guess a little more educated.
Have you jacked it up and checked for play in everything..ie strut, control arm,ball joints and don't overlook the brake pads moving.

Steering gear or lower control arm as there have been several replaced!

They replaced my whole steering system Gear box & intermitent shaft was out of tollerance & then had to order a new updated clamp as it still had a clunk & that clamp fixed it.

I still have a clicking but I think it's the Ingalls TD I installed as I only notice it in cold weather while shifting gears.

I had that same problem like when i was taking off, turning and coming to a stop. Took it in and they just tightened up my bolts on my tranny mounts and motor mounts and such. Havent heard it since.
