Cluster on the fritz???? Help!
Cluster on the fritz???? Help!
MY car is possessed! I was tapping into the dashboard dimmer lights and everything was going fine until after i tested an LED circuit off the dimmer. It must've backfired or something. Now the s**t has hit the fan. All the warning lights are on along with the text warnings. I checked the cluster fuse by switching it with the interior light fuse (same amps), and it's still freaking out!! Please tell me I didn't just short the whole cluster
I wont tell you that, but if you disconnected the leds and the problem still exists then you will be able to figure it out.
You can try unhooking the battery and see if that does anything.
I dont know why you guys that dont have any understanding of electronics try to do these types of installs.
Did you even test or refer to a print to what wire to use.

I'm not asking for criticism. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. The gauges won't light up now (except for check engine light). All of the interior lights started flickering too.
Is the car safe to drive to the dealer

sounds exactly like what was going on with my 08 LT... turned out to be a faulty BCM... mind u the fact u were doing wiring at the time it messed up leads me to think user error during install ... check all your wiring n make sure... if it is the wiring the dealer isnt gonna do **** without getting paid...
