Clutch grinds in 2nd

Just got a new clutch installed and when I shift into 2nd gear at high RPM's it grinds. I have the clutch fully engaged when it grinds, so I dont know why it happens. Any thoughts?

when i say powershifting, what i really mean is clutch shifting without getting off the gas at all.
i know its kinda not the correct term, but who shifts without a clutch at the track in a cobalt ?

the reason i ask though, is when you shift without lifting from the gas...sometimes if you do it RIGHT at the redline...youll get those rpms up a little to high before you get the shift done...and it will cause you to grind and miss the shift.

Nah, Im letting off the gas. This happens during my daily driving. It normally happens around 4k RPMs and above. Happens on up and downshifts. It makes no sense considering I have a brand new clutch.

Sure was, but those guys over charge and take forever to work. Im going to a friends shop to get an exhaust gasket replaced and Im gonna ask him to check on the tranny/clutch for me.
