clutch positioning sensor
clutch positioning sensor
this is a new one for me. she was driving home from work on two seperate occasions. the check engine light came on. scanned it once, took it to the dealer the second time. they said it was because she was riding the clutch... basically for every couple times you push the clutch to the floor, you have to let it release to the top all the way. there are two sensors, one at the bottom and the other at the top. to her credit though, there has been some nasty traffic jams due to construction on the local highway
Yes, this causes complaints with the cruise control all the time. Once that code gets thown you can't engage the cruise control until the code is cleared. I have never any problems, but I *NEVER* rest my foot on the clutch. When I was taught to drive stick (which every car I have ever owned has been stick) I was taught to *NEVER* have your foot on the clutch pedal unless you have the clutch depressed. Simply - just because the clutch isn't "supposed" to engage till about 1 inch down doesn't mean it isn't engaging after 1/8 inch.
