Thumbs down Cobalt Broke

So today i was driving my cobalt 05 ss s/c right when i was about to shift into third gear my rpms droped to zero but the car kept going then when i got to the stoplight it cut off and wouldnt not start back up.....wtf.....dealer is going to call me tomorrow about it.

The same thing happened to me, and now the engine is no longer in the car. I hope you don't have the same problem I do, or you'll be getting a new engine!

Rockers decided to they didn't like being under the cams anymore, so they ran off and sent lovely metal filings throughout the rest of the engine to say goodby!

Same thing happened to mine, only happened once though... Dealer said it was probably the crankshaft position sensor, but I haven't had time to take it back in and have them order the part.

The dealer is going to call me today hopefully its nothing serious, but with my luck it probally is. I just got the car 3 days ago also.

I've heard of crank sensors going right away, just pray that the problem is just that.

I just talked to the dealer, they said they have it aprt but cant find anything wrong with it, they say it may be the ignition, i am going back monday to get my rental.
