Your supposed to disconnect the battery before putting it on so that when you connect the battery again it recalibrates and the computer recognizes that its there.

also. in regaurds to the stalling after filling. it was ONLY after putting gas in the tank id have issues. but if i revved the engine right as it turned over. it would stay on fine. but if i tried starting it right after filling it without reving. it would choke out and die. on the second start it would run fine.

? Not sure what you mean by this, but the computer doesnt 'recognize' that there is suddenly a new intake there in a sense that it will now magically adjust for a new CAI...what it does recognize is that there is now more airflow than its supposed to see based on the stock tune or whatever tune you have on and it starts altering your fuel trims to try to compensate for the now changed MAF readings from what its used to seeing. This is why alot of intakes will cause you to throw codes because the PCM is not tuned for the intake so it goes **** and throws a code. You have to tune for an intake or you wont see gains really, and its actually not really good for the car to go untuned with an intake.

Go to this link

He explains it quite well

What kind of setup do you have? List all your mods i guess is what i mean lol

EDIT: Nvm i see your mods in your sig...i dont think the 2.2s are tuneable either...

guess ill just let it go for now. im not really too concerned with it. im not planning on having the car for very much longer and i have the stock intake still. i do notice some preformance gains even with out the tune. im going to go talk to sublime speed technology tomorrow and see if there is tuning available for my car and see what the reccomend with the new upgrade.
