I recently put an injen cai into my car and then the other night all of the sudden the sound of it went away it used to make a nice loud BOV sound and be louder when I started my car during the cat warm up time anybody know what the issue might be?

 

dirty filter?

 

it was brand new only been on there a few weeks gonna take a look tonight and see if the filter came loose maybe

 

with a cold air intake, I could be mistaken, but doesn't the sound get louder as the filter gets dirtier, because its basically working harder to get the air in?

 

ya it may be "working" harder but also if its dirty it isnt pullin in as much air to allow it to make that loud noise my guess is the filter may be loose and letting some air escape
