Computer took another shit
Computer took another ****
So, my 2010 LS has been nothing but problems. One month ago at 2800 miles the computer decided to crap out on me and leave me stranded. So I had it towed to the dealership, after being dicked around for a week, they through a new computer in and it was good to go. All has been fine up until a few hours ago when I was leaving my parents house. Same problem as last time, I have all power and the car wont crank. Pretty sure the computer took a **** again at 3400 miles. This is a bunch of crap!!! Stranded again. Anyone else have this issue or do I sense a lemon???
Take it back to the dealer. Pretty sure it has to have the same problem 4 times before it's considered a lemon.
Trust me, I've had plenty of issues with my car that's left me stranded/driving through the desert in limp mode.

did the idiots at the dealership check to see if there was a short somewhere. shorts usually like to kill delicate electrical components. a PCM in these cars has no reason to EVER take a **** on you.
It's a Cobalt. The wind changed from N to S? PCM says it's not working today. Wait, whats that? There's rain in the forecast? PCM is taking the day off.
States all differ for lemon laws it sounds like u have a connection issue with harness to pcm. disconneft pcm from harness and look at.the pins. If.good to go thrn.connect them again.
Oh I did have it towed back to the dealership. Computer is fried yet again. Seriously, 2800 miles on the car and it fries out. Now 3400 miles and it fries out. Im hoping this happens 2 more times so I can get a better car, lol. But GM said 7-10 business days to get a new PCM, so Im rockin an HHR LT loaner for now
From April until August no issues. Then all of a sudden, car wouldnt start out of nowhere the first week in September. After the first dealership dicked me around, they installed a new PCM. Now a month later and only 600 miles later, same thing. It comes without warning. I just have no clue why it keeps doing this and neither does the dealership. They suggested that GM outsourced making the computers and that is why I have to wait 7-10 days for a new one.
If it is, then 2 more PCM's to go before I get my money back
Good luck finding the source through all that wiring on the car, lol

The computers are made by Bosch. What usually causes the problem with the wait to get the computers is that for current/new model year vehicles all the computers are stored at the factory since they *SHOULDN'T* go bad. The dealership requests the part from the distribution center, then the distro center has to contact the factory or Bosch directly to get a new computer which adds to the delay in getting one. I know the Cobalt is no longer in production, but other vehicles that use the same PCM still are.
There is definitely something else causing the PCM to fry. Somewhere there is a short.

Seeing as no one else has chimed in, I think its safe to assume that mine is just a piece of crap, lol. Oh well, as soon as I can get the Lemon Law approved I believe Im gonna get a Passat 2.0T Im done with Chevy

Or even INTENSE??
Looks like it definately has to happen 2 more times and then its considered a lemon, which sucks but okay. Either that or sit at the dealer for 28 days. Its been 8, 20 to go, lol.
