Coolant Temp Bouncing
I have an 06 ss\sc just installed OTTP H\E i just want to double check i installed correctly. So the top hose goes hooked up with the out hose of the stock h\e and the bottom hose goes hooked up with the top or in of the ic pump correct? I dont have a dual pass yet or option b. I'm just wondering cause i've been driving around today watch my coolant temp bounce around. Usually it stays around 183 or so today it was going over that. also whats the correct way to flush and fill the whole system? Any help would be greatlly appreciated thanks in advance.
the coolant system for the supercharger is completely different then the system for the engine. the temp gauge on the dash is for the engine. there isnt a sensor in the supercharger system for coolant temp.

today was cooler than yesterday. I live in vegas so it get really hot here its still cool here in about a month its gonna get really hot about 3 digits hot. So i want to get this handled asap.
well arent you just so special!!!! ha ha ha
I needed soemthing to plug the drain hole in OTTP's H/E so I got an adaptor and pluged it with a fluid temp sensor that I ran to my Analogic Gauge

I Love my gauges
what i was saying is that the HE doesnt cover the radiator all that much. just a little on the bottom of it. the HE gets its air through the lower opening...radiator mostly through the upper grill.

thanks for the in input guys really appreciated. So it bounces pretty good today i went to work which is mostly highway so it stayed at about 178 to 180 pretty steady then after i got off the freeway it started to go up to like 196 around there. When driving it would go doen a bit but not much. Also whats the correct way to flush and fill system? Thanks to all of your help very much appreciated.

Also remember your engine is working harder to keep you at cruise then it is idleing at a stoplight....
BUT.. you have more airflow at cruise so your temps will be lower, when you stop, your temp well go up since you just lost your cooling air, Once temps reach a cetin point determined by your tuen (I think 223 to 230 degrees) your fans will start to come on, slow at first then faster giveing you back your cooling air.
custom one is meh. flow through is only going to be considered to be advantageous over opt b in the fact that you can put ice in it if you're at the track. at that point you're grasping at air though imo. the one pictured doesn't bleed air either.
