what exactly triggers the cooling fans to come on....? i have an LSJ... i have replaced relays and the temp sensor that is located in the right hand side by the upper coolant hose....

 

coolant temp above 2XX (cant remember the exact #)

 

about 220*, if I remember correctly

i remember mine used to kick in before 2oo... but i havent even heard the low speed kicking in... not even when it was 246 F.... so i wired one of the fans to a switch, but its getting annoying lol do this car only have one temp sensor?

 

mine dont come on..at all...

 

my fans are on all the time lol.

do you have a cel come one or anything? check your coolant temp sensor. Another possibility is that there's a fuse blown.

 

Please don't make so many threads on the same subject next time. One will do fine.

 

i replaced it already, i didnt see anything wrong with relays but still replaced them... fuses were good, but will check again tomorrow

^^^that doesn't seem like the healthiest thing to do....might bring the engine out of its efficiency range, or mask a cooling problem.

 

i ran like that for a bit, but it got sooo annoying lol

 

i would do that but ive heard they wear out faster, and i still dont know if its my pcm not sending signal or something else

 

meh ive thouhgt about it but idc much plus not like i can change it.... only time it annoys me is when i have the car off in run but thats not much so
