Cruise control Fixes?

So I am having increasing problems with the damn cruise control. I drive the car, both highway and city and the clutch to shift equation the car uses for allowing the cruise to work is pissing me off. If I am stuck in stop and go traffic and don't have to shift out of 1st gear but still ahve to move every so often, the lack of shifting but still using the clutch sets off the cruise control disable, the same happens at High highway speeds where I don't have to down shift when I slow down. Long highway trip in the 80+ mph range, and then running up on traffic, press clutch and brake and slow down to 70 or so...well it engagues the cruise control lock out too...I need to know if There is any way to disable the cruise control lock out, weather by HP tuners or if I can beg and plead and offer favors to the GM crew to write some new code....I don't have a problem with pressing on the clutch and the cruise disengagues, its the whole cruise not working after pressing the clutch 22 times and shifting less then 6 times....Thanks for any info.

If the cruise stays engaged when the clutch is depressed dont you think it would rev out
to red line soon as you depress it.

To slow down or speed up ,just use the speed plus and minus by the set cruise button to adjust your speed with out touching the clutch or brake.

the problem is not that the cruise disengages when I press the clutch, it's that is you don't do the correct number of shifts in a certian number of clutch presses that the cruise disables itself and cannot be used till the Computer is reset with a tech2. Unfortunately I don't always have the option of using the +/- buttons for the cruise. (and the - doesn't work going down a mountian, atleast I don't think so) What I need to know is how to disable the cruise control disable from clutch/shift count.

Could you just turn off the cruise control using the cruise on and off button before this happens .
Would this reset the count.

it doesn't reset it, or stop it from happening, I actually don't turn the cruise control on untill I plan to use it...the little light anoys me if it's not needed.

Anyone with HP tuners know if you can turn off options with the Cruise with it? (or can I clear codes with HP tuners?, I've been thinking about buying it.)

I've had the problem with it not working - I'm not quite sure I understand what is happening, can you describe it a little better?

I have no answer to your question... sorry

here is the issue, if you press and release the clutch 22 times (or something like that) before you go through 6 shifts, the system will shut down the cruise control and not allow you to use it. there are some other things that set it off too, but basickly, to many clutch presses, or riding the clutch and not getting full travel out of it will do it too. there is a switch at the top of the clutch extension and the bottom. they both need to be hit regularly and have shifts regularly to keep cruise control running. IT's stupid, they need to set it up like my cavy, where the only thing it does when you press the clutch in is disengage the cruise not dissable it....

I drive in constant stop and go traffic everyday and have never had a problem with the cruise control. You just need to try not to press the clutch when it isn't necessary and use Nuetral more often perhaps.

22 clutches w/ 6 shifts seems like a shitload! i can understand traffic, i live in l.a. its horrible, but on the same note if you are using your clutch that much there is probably no time that you will need cc

I feel ya guys, I just took mine in to get the cc fixed for the fourth time. They keep telling me that it's the code that says i'm riding my clutch, but I tell them its a load of bull. I'm in the same boat as anyone else. Help would be great.
